THE DESIGN REQUIREMENT
Let an interiors identity feel natural rather than decorated.
Casa de Linos needed a card whose material suited a business concerned with linen and the home. A warm recycled surface gave the identity character before ink was added, allowing the design to remain monochrome and restrained.
Material before embellishment
The paper supplies colour, fibre and texture. Black letterpress adds definition without covering those qualities with lamination or a reflective finish.
THE CONSTRUCTION DECISION
A 510 gsm sheet made a bonded construction unnecessary.
The selected Grey Grey board could carry letterpress on both faces as one substantial sheet. Its natural edge remains visible, so the material reads consistently from surface to side.
Why that matters
A laminated pair would introduce a bond line and change the edge. Here, using one sheet keeps the recycled material itself at the centre of the result.
PRODUCTION EXECUTION
Two black letterpress passes, balanced across opposite faces.
Each side was printed in black with its own letterpress artwork. The impression had to remain clear on the fibrous surface while avoiding unnecessary pressure that could compromise the opposite face.
