GUIDE
Fedrigoni Sirio Pearl Blend Paper
Sirio Pearl Blend is a black-and-white two-tone board with a pearlescent finish on both faces. The opposing surfaces and visible edge create contrast before the card is printed.

TWO TONE
The current Fedrigoni sheet lists one Black/White construction.
260 GSM
The manufacturer data sheet specifies a 260 gsm laminated board.
PEARL BOTH SIDES
Black and white faces each carry a pearlescent finish.
WHAT THE MATERIAL IS
Two contrasting papers supplied as one board.
Fedrigoni describes Sirio Pearl Blend as an off-machine laminated two-tone board. The current technical sheet lists a Black/White version at 260 gsm, with a pearlescent finish on both faces.
The black and white surfaces allow different colour strategies on the same card, while the cut edge reveals the relationship between them. That built-in contrast is distinct from constructing a custom duplex card from two separately selected sheets.
Manufacturer data establishes the paper specification, not Offsetcards availability. Current stock, sourcing time, quantity and compatibility with the intended finishes must still be confirmed for the project.

WHAT IT CHANGES
Contrast built into the sheet.
The paper creates a natural front-and-back distinction without asking the artwork to imitate one.
01
Opposing faces
The white side supports conventional printed colour while the black side asks for opacity, reflection or deliberate tonal detail.
02
Pearlescent continuity
Both sides react to light, helping the contrasting colours feel like parts of the same material family.
03
A visible transition
The edge makes the change from black to white tangible and can become a subtle part of the card composition.
WHEN TO USE IT
Best when two sides need different roles.
Sirio Pearl Blend suits cards that use one face for vivid information and the other for a quieter opaque or reflective mark. The material itself establishes a front-and-back narrative.
The black and white faces should not receive identical colour assumptions. Ink, foil and relief are checked independently for each surface and for the final two-sided composition.
CONSIDER BEFORE CHOOSING
- The current data sheet lists Black/White at 260 gsm; any alternative requires separate supplier confirmation.
- Transparent ink behaves differently on the black and white faces.
- Finishing suitability must be checked separately for each side.
- Confirm present availability and minimum quantity before committing the design.

ARTWORK PREPARATION
Treat black and white as different surfaces.
Supply front and back as clearly named pages and identify which artwork belongs to the black face and which to the white. Put foil, relief and other specialist processes on separate layers.
Do not reuse one colour build without considering the background. Show the complete intended contrast and allow us to assess opacity, fine detail and registration on each side.
FINISHED WORK
One board. Two visual temperatures.
The material works best when each face is allowed to behave differently while the identity remains coherent.
