HOW THE EFFECT WORKS
A large foil area behaves differently from a small logo. It creates a reflective surface across much of the card. A separate blind pass can then press pattern or detail into that field without introducing another colour.
EDGE & CORNERS
Square corners and the black unpainted edge are included. Rounded corners are available for the quantity fee shown in the form. Painted edges are not compatible with this full-face foil specification.
The current orderable specification is 1 mm Sumo Black. White board or another thickness requires a production review until its own matrix is approved.
ARTWORK PREPARATION
Supply vector artwork at final size with fonts converted to outlines. Place the hot-foil area and blind impression on clearly named spot-colour layers. We review coverage, reversed detail, die spacing and the intended production sequence before approval.
Preferred formats are print-ready PDF, AI or EPS. Show both sides and identify the foil colour. Production begins after artwork approval.
