Finished size

Rectangles: 75–95 mm on the long edge and 30–55 mm on the short edge. Squares: 50–65 mm. Portrait and landscape are both accepted.

WHY THIS CONSTRUCTION

Colour comes from foil and the edge—not from ink.

Sumo Nero is black throughout, so the board does not reveal a white centre. Hot foil supplies opaque colour on the dark surface, while edge painting turns the 1.5 mm profile into a deliberate third plane.

Plan the palette as a system

  • Use one foil for the primary identity.
  • Use the second for hierarchy, icons or a contrasting detail.
  • Choose an edge colour that connects the two faces rather than competing with them.

ARTWORK PREPARATION

Separate every foil colour and show both faces together.

Supply each foil as solid vector artwork on its own clearly named layer. Convert fonts to outlines and keep small gaps and reversed detail suitable for foil tooling. State the intended edge colour separately.

  • Preferred formats: print-ready PDF, AI or EPS.
  • Show which foil applies to every shape.
  • Production begins after artwork approval.
