WHY THIS PAPER
Black through the edge—not a white sheet printed black.
Favini Sumo Nero is a dyed-through black board, so the colour continues through its substantial edge. At 1.5 mm it gives blind impression enough material to work into, while the surface remains a strong base for reflective foil.
What creates the contrast
- Hot foil reflects light and supplies the visible colour.
- Blind impression uses no ink; depth, highlights and shadows reveal it.
- The dyed-through edge remains black unless edge painting is selected.
ARTWORK PREPARATION
Separate the foil and impression before production.
Supply vector artwork at final size, with fonts converted to outlines. Place each foil area and the blind-impression area on clearly named separate spot-colour layers. We review line weight, registration and the relationship between the two dies before artwork approval.
