GENUINE FOIL · SPECIALIST PRODUCTION
Genuine Hot Foil Business Cards
Hot foil business cards use a metal die, heat and pressure to transfer an opaque foil image onto the paper. Choose this process when reflection, solid colour on a dark stock or a deliberately pressed surface is part of the identity—not simply an added decoration.

PROCESS
Foil transferred with a metal die, heat and pressure—not metallic ink.
CONSTRUCTIONS
Black, white, recycled and coloured boards from practical online options.
PRODUCTION
Made in Greece after artwork review, with European delivery.
WHAT YOU ARE CHOOSING
Hot foil changes light, opacity and touch.
Metallic foils reflect their surroundings. Pigment foils can place an opaque white, black or coloured image on a stock where ordinary ink would respond differently. The stamping pressure may also leave a subtle impression, although this is not the same as a separate deep blind-letterpress pass.
The result depends on the relationship between foil grade, paper surface, coverage and artwork. A fine wordmark, broad solid area and two-colour registration do not use identical tooling or setup. That is why each product below defines a repeatable construction rather than treating every foil job as interchangeable.

ONLINE PRODUCT ROUTES
Choose hot foil business cards by construction.
Start with the stock, thickness and number of production passes your design needs. Every linked product shows its current quantities, sizes, foil choices, artwork route and production time before checkout.
BLACK · 1 MM
One foil on black Sumo board
A direct route for one opaque or metallic foil colour on a dyed-through black card with a clean black edge.
WHITE · 1 MM
One foil on white Sumo board
A substantial white construction for reflective or pigment foil with the paper left visible around the design.
BLACK · 1.5 MM
Two foils and a painted edge
Two separately registered foil colours on dense black board, completed by a coordinated colour around the edge.
BLACK · 1 MM
Three separate foil colours
For artwork that needs independent bright, opaque or tone-on-tone foil layers without printed ink.
BLACK · 1.5 MM
Foil with blind impression
One reflective foil layer paired with a separate uninked impression on ultra-thick dyed-through black board.
NATURAL BOARD
Foil on recycled paperboard
Reflective foil set against a warm, visibly fibrous surface for a less polished and more material-led character.
CHOOSING WELL
Use foil where it gives the design hierarchy.
Hot foil business cards are most convincing when foil clarifies a wordmark, name, border or restrained graphic element. On black or deeply coloured stocks, an opaque foil can also carry information that ordinary process ink would not reproduce in the same way.
Multiple foil colours, large solid areas and tight registration introduce separate tools and press passes. If the artwork is unusual, send it before choosing a product and we will identify the practical route.
CHECK BEFORE ORDERING
- Every foil colour needs its own solid vector separation.
- Each printed side can require separate tooling and setup.
- Fine reverses and large solids are reviewed differently.
- Foil, paper and any letterpress or edge finish must be planned together.

PIPES & WOOD
Two foils with a painted edge
White and bronze foil on 1.5 mm black board, with metallic bronze continued around the profile.
MELINIKON
Gold foil with blind impression
Reflective information and a separate uninked honeycomb pattern on ultra-thick black board.
GAME RULES
Three registered foil colours
Red, white and glossy black foil divide bright contrast from quieter black-on-black detail.
